Look Away From the Abyss

"If you gaze into the abyss the abyss also gazes into you.”. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

We are in the midst of turbulent times and it is easy to lose our way or forget a few integral principles. It’s frightening to endure the constant unrest of our nation and in turn the world. That fear and frustration make it easy for our hearts to harden and our tempers to ignite.

I know I found myself feeling things over the last month especially,  that I’m not proud of and of thinking things equally disgraceful. That’s not who I want to be and I doubt you do either. It’s important not to become that which you are against. So we need to make a decision to keep ourselves in check.

Also it’s important to not get caught up in a power struggle of  proving we are right as that never accomplishes anything. No, what really matters now is healing our nation. And that is where we must focus.

During this unrest of our physical world it’s more important than ever to nourish our spirit and remember who we are and what we believe.

God as we know him is a loving God and a forgiving God and he loves us all, even those we may see as our enemies. And so my friends, must we. I’m not suggesting you invite them over for dinner, mind you. I am however, encouraging us to forgive them in our hearts for their failings and to pray for them to receive guidance, grace and enlightenment. I know this may not be easy, but it’s important and it’s very worth the inner struggle to do so.

The more of us that join together in prayer, meditation and positive reflections, the better likely our success. So I implore you to join with me to pray for those who have betrayed us that they be forgiven, find guidance,  and are enlightened  to what is right. And give thanks that we are not blinded by our anger and that we can forgive.

If you are not a spiritual person then I ask that you send positive thoughts their way. Keep in mind scientific studies have demonstrated that shared prayer and positive thoughts do actually work. So, no matter what your beliefs you can still take part for the greater good.

Our vibes reverberate into our world whatever they may be, positive or negative, and I know with all my heart that we as a nation need to increase our vibe to a higher positive frequency. This is how we begin to achieve that.
